Hydraulic structure time histories These are prepared input files in SCHISM *.th format listing barrier and gate operation times for the standard Bay-Delta SCHISM configuration. The files are dated using ISO-like format like 2009-02-10T00:15 and have headers, which is a slight deviation from the th format. The Bay-Delta utility model_time.py can be used to convert back to elapsed time format. | Download | ZIP | 08/11/23 |
Delta Channel Depletion v201705 Channel depletion estimates for the v201705 version. Although this is not the current official release, it is otherwise the "vanilla" form of the channel depletion model. It has no seasonal outflow adjustment to reconcile with USGS gages. It includes the standard estimate of water body evaporation and hence will "double count" evaporation if used in conjunction with separate evaporation data. When the heat exchange module is enabled in SCHISM (which calculates evaporation) we use a "noevap" version. | Download | TAR | 08/11/23 |

flux_v20180103_date.th Text time history of inflows and outflows in cms. Locations are marked in the header. Time is in the ISO-like format: 20090210T00:00. The flux file assumes the American River is independent of the Sacramento, which is generally only how we handle runs with temperature. The cold content of the American is important for temperature validation, but the American extension can be ignored (lumped with Sac) for tide and salinity modeling. The effect on sediment is still being evaluated. | Download | TH | 08/11/23 |
salt_v20170706_dated.th Salinity inputs associated with some boundaries. The names of the locations are in the headers. Units are in psu. Format differs from standard *.th in that the file has headers and ISO-like date format in left column. | Download | TH | 08/11/23 |
temp_v20180103_dated.th Temperature input files for boundaries that use time series. Units are in degrees C. | Download | TH | 08/11/23 |
DCD Model sink terms (water body evaporation removed, seasonal adjustment) Channel depletion estimates for the consumptive use locations for the Bay-Delta SCHISM model (essentially the same as DSM2). This version has had water body evaporation removed, to avoid double counting when SCHISM's heat exchange module is used. It has also had a seasonal adjustment to make its seasonal pattern more similar to that of observed USGS outflow. | Download | TH | 08/11/23 |
DCD model source terms (evaporation removed, seasonal adjustment) Source terms from the DCD model for Bay-Delta SCHISM. Source locations are listed in the Bay-Delta SCHISM input files (source_sink.in) and are essentially identical to those of DSM2. The noevap version differs from the standard model in that water body evaporation is not included, to avoid double counting when the heat exchange module is enabled in SCHISM. This version also includes a seasonal adjustment to bring its seasonal pattern more into keeping with observed outflow from USGS stations. | Download | TH | 08/11/23 |
