California Natural Resources Agency and the USDA Forestry Service with support by Google.Org had a five day design sprint on May 9th to 13th, 2022. The Challenge presented to the wildfire and forest heath experts present was to design methods to empower California resource managers at the state, regional, and local levels to target, plan, and monitor their vegetation management and wildfire resilience projects in a way that considers the broader needs of the ecosystem (e.g., watershed health, biodiversity, carbon storage).
